Clarkstown’s New York Rising Community Reconstruction Planning Committee will hold a public meeting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Town Hall at 10 Maple Ave., New City.
Clarkstown has been awarded an up-to $3 million funding from the New York Rising Community Reconstruction Program, which was established by the state to provide rebuilding and revitalization assistance to communities damaged by Superstorm Sandy and tropical storms Irene and Lee.
In Rockland, Stony Point and Suffern have also been selected for the program.
The Clarkstown committee has been meeting to come up with plans to make the community more resilient against future storms.
