Rockland County residents can weigh-in on the proposed 2014-15 state budget during a public input meeting from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Finkelstein Memorial Library, 24 Chestnut St. in Spring Valley.
The session will be run by State Senator David Carlucci, D-New City, and Assembly members Ellen Jaffee, D-Suffern, Ken Zebrowski, D-New City, and James Skoufis, D-Woodbury.
The legislators want to hear residents’ concerns, including how Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s proposed new spending plan may impact their lives and any suggestions they have regarding the budget.
“This hearing will provide the Rockland delegation with productive insight on the proposed budget,” Zebrowski said. “This dialogue is essential as we continue to work with the governor in developing an on-time budget that reflects the needs of our community.”
To register and request a time to speak, call Carlucci’s office at 845-623-3627. Each speaker will be allowed five minutes.
