North Rockland high school students in this year’s Project LIFE class were recognized at an awards luncheon Thursday at noon at the frozen yogurt shop Yo2Go, 44 W. Ramapo Road, Garnerville.
The Project LIFE program emphasizes vocational training for students with intellectual disabilities through business partnerships. Students work at the businesses and learn real-life job skills they can take with them after high school.

The event was hosted by business leaders participating in Project LIFE. County Executive-elect Ed Day was also expected to attend.
Yo2Go is one of several businesses participating in the program this year in addition to Simone’s Cleaners, Visible Changes hair salon and dentist Dr. Seema Narang. Public House also plans to participate in the near future.
