Bow Tie Cinemas opens The Fine Arts theater today and it will showcase art and independent films at the Clarkstown Plaza.
The Fine Arts at 202 South Main St. was formerly the New City Cinema 6 and it will have digital projection and specialty items at its concessions, including teas and biscotti.
“The Fine Arts Cinema represents our continued commitment to present the best possible movie going experience to the Rockland County area,” said Ben Moss, owner of Bow Tie Cinemas.
Upcoming films will include The Book Thief starring Geoffrey Rush and Emily Watson, Nebraska starring Bruce Dern and Dallas Buyers Club with Matthew McConaughey. Additionally, the theater will present a myriad array of special presentations, from opera to ballets. Bow Tie Cinemas’ popular Cine Classics will be presented every Saturday and Sunday morning, featuring classic films back on the big screen.
