Stony Point Supervisor Geoffrey Finn said things are under control in his town as of 5:50 p.m. Friday.
“We haven’t seen any serious problems,” Finn said. “The roads are slippery and people should stay away from the streets. But everything is fine.”
Stony Point’s waterfront areas were severely affected by Superstorm Sandy in late October, and many residents are still struggling to get back on their feet.
Finn said he was concerned about excessive tides in the waterfront areas during this storm but was assured by experts that this time around, Stony Point should be fine.
