A Spring Valley-based community organization will mark “Black History Month” in February with four weekly programs offering educational messages for young people.
Advocating for Change will promote the African-American experience every Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Spring Valley Commons community room.
“This is our 12th year and we will continue to travel the path of knowledge of who and what the African-American experience has done to impact the world,” said Cassandra Edwards, a community activist in Spring Valley and the East Ramapo school district. She heads Advocating for Change.
