The Hudson Valley Chapter of the Nam Knights Motorcycle Club will honor the military service of black Americans on Saturday by placing a wreath at Mount Moor Cemetery, which is located near the Palisades Center off Route 59 in West Nyack.
The annual public ceremony will take place at 10 a.m.
Mount Moor has been a long-time burial place for members of local African-American families — with veterans buried there as long ago as the Civil War.

Laying a wreath on veterans cemetary, should not be black or white. As a combat wounded marine, squard, leader plt guide, plt sargent in a rifle platoon. I resent the term black veteran or white veteran, We were all green, MARINE, The Marine corps doesn’t play that political game of black or white. Stokes b.e. U.S.M.C. Ret.
