As the Stony Point Ambulance Corps celebrated its new building recently, members of the volunteer organization buried a time capsule, to be unearthed in 2062.
“Some of the entombed items are an octogenarian member’s original ambulance shirt, license plates from retired rigs, and various newspaper articles, to mention a few,” John Orfini, the organization’s spokesman wrote in his press release. “Children present will hopefully return to this site once again, with their children, as the time capsule will be reopened and they fondly recall a time when local history reflected a life long gone.”
