Paving is scheduled for the intersection of New Hempstead Road and Little Tor Road in New City tonight.
Little Tor Road between John Street and New Hempstead will be closed between 7 p.m. today and 8 a.m. tomorrow. Drivers should follow the posted detour and give themselves extra time.
Anyone who’s traveled the area knows that it’s been one giant construction zone from Main Street to the Palisades Interstate Parkway interchange about two miles away. And there’s still another year of work ahead on the $32 million project to reconstruct New Hempstead Road.

This is a never ending project. I’m 56 and I’m wondering if it will be finished in my lifetime.
