The Wayne Hose Ladies Auxiliary was recognized at Tuesday’s Stony Point Town Board meeting for its many years of service.
Members of the organization have been assisting volunteer firefighters with the Wayne Hose Co. No.1 in their activities, including fundraising efforts and parades.
The Town Board, represented by town Supervisor Geoffrey Finn, presented a certificate of appreciation to the organization, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary.
The Rockland County Legislature, represented by County Legislator Doug Jobson, presented the proclamation, declaring May 8, 2012, as the Wayne Hose Co. No. 1 Ladies Auxiliary Day.
