The transmission line would run underwater in the Hudson River, heading south to Stony Point. To avoid disturbing Haverstraw Bay’s sensitive ecosystem, the line would run underground along the CSX rail right-of-way to West Haverstraw and to Rockland Lake State Park. It would then follow Route 9W south for a short distance through Clarkstown and cross under Rockland Lake State Park before re-entering the Hudson River to head to New York City.
