More than 40 volunteers participated in Haverstraw village’s project to build a concession stand at the Corporal Manny Lopez Municipal Ball Field.
The field has been in operation since 2010 but plans to build a concession stand have been stalled because of a lack of funding.
The goal is to build the concession stand with the office/announcing booth by the hands of community volunteers. The work will continue Sunday, April 22, and three more weekends.

I personally think its great that people in the community get out and actually do something positive for the community instead of complaining about it.
Good for them and I’m sure it will be very value added.
