This is what happens when we’re generous.
The volunteers of Koshertroops, which sends Jewish holiday packages and letters from school children to soldiers on a weekly basis, sent hundreds of packages of Passover food items to more than 550 U.S. troops.
There’s the proof in the photo.
Passover, the eight-day Jewish holiday that celebrates freedom, starts the evening of April 6, (Nissan 15). This Passover many seders will be held throughout Afghanistan, where a Passover seder is not a typical occurrence. The seders will be fully furnished with matzah, horseradish, grape juice and other goodies that were donated by companies such as Kedem, Manischewitz, Streits, Golds, Abeles & Heyman, Amazing Savings, LaBriutte and Osem.

while on subject of phone calls to elders. Meals on Wheels are closing the N. Rockland outreach Center and moving the Ramapo outreach center as well. N. Rockland is more affected as that outreach center is scheduled to move to Nyack. What does this mean. These moves will force more elderly to be home bound and isolated. Outreach centers not only provided meals but necessary socialization for people. Transportation is provided but always within the local boundaries. So as more people are forced to stay home due to inadequate transportation or limited transportation, that may require more deliveries which may be difficult. SO what it the point. The point is that there will be added Seniors who will be in need of the phone service which may be the only highlight of their day plus meal if more volunteers come forth despite the rising gas prices. LOL.
