Ever wonder about those town crews working around power lines? They get training offered by Orange and Rockland Utilities.
Here’s the scoop from O&R:
O&R electric safety experts conducted an electric safety refresher course for employees of the Town of Ramapo Department of Public Works yesterday (Feb. 16) at DPW headquarters in Tallman.
The O&R trainers made the session come alive by using a fully electrified miniature village to as closely as possible illustrate working conditions that DPW employees would find in the streets where they work.
Pictured here are, from left: O&R’s Gene Reynolds and Brian Peifer; Ramapo Safety Manager and Rockland County Legislator Toney Earl, who sponsored the training; and O&R Public Affairs Manager Trish Austin.
