Sunday is Mended Hearts benefit breakfast

Posted by: Emily Kratzer - Posted in Uncategorized on Feb 07, 2012

The families of the late Dan Mumford and Carl Allen are presenting a fundraising breakfast from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at Relief Hose Co. 3, 11 Conklin Ave., Haverstraw.

Mumford was a 25-year veteran of the S.W. Johnson Fire Co. and Allen was a longtime Letchworth employee. Both died of heart disease. Their families are working with J & B Luncheonette and the Bricktown Inn to present the breakfast.

The price for breakfast is $10; $8 for senior citizens, and $5 for children ages 5 to 12; and free for children ages 5 and younger. Take-out is available. Proceeds will be donated to Mended Hearts Chapter 368 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Mended Hearts is a support group that offers compassion, hope and encouragement to heart patients and their families. For more information about the breakfast, call 845-368-5637.

In print, the date was incorrectly stated as Saturday – remember, the breakfast is on Sunday.
