Thumper the Pit Bull recuperating after going AWOL on the Tappan Zee Bridge
Thumper, a two-year old Pit Bull, lies under a blanket as he recuperates after jumping out of his owner’s truck on the Tappan Zee Bridge this morning. Photo by Seth Harrison
The dog was rescued by two bridge workers and eventually brought to the Pomona Animal Hospital, where he was treated for cuts, scrapes, and a torn pad on his left front paw. He was later reunited with his owner at the Hi-Tor Animal Care Center. Look for Steve Lieberman’s story at Lohud.com and in tomorrow’s edition of The Journal News.
