Veterinarian Dr. Maureen Saunders is to talk about pet health when she returns to the New York State Fair, which goes from Aug. 25 to Sept. 5 just outside Syracuse.
She is one of several veterinarians from the Westchester/Rockland Veterinary Medical Association who will staff the Hall of Veterinary Health. Saunders, of Spring Valley Animal Hospital in Monsey and the Cat Care Clinic of Nyacks in South Nyack, will do her turn Sept. 4.
The Hall of Veterinary Health includes an exam table where children can pretend to be a veterinarian, an interactive computer area for teens and adults, DVDs, videos, and live demonstrations involving animals.
Visitors can talk with veterinarians and veterinary technicians, find out more about the profession of veterinary medicine, and attend one of the live demonstrations.
