Everett F. Swann, Sr. of Nyack, right, received the 2011 Buffalo Soldier Award during a ceremony at the Rockland County legislature’s Chambers in New City on Wednesday. Swann, who served as a US Army Tech Sergeant during World War II, is the 30th honoree to receive the award.
