The Pearl River Chamber of Commerce will hold its fourth annual Pearl River Day festival along Central Avenue in Pearl River from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
All day long, the streets in the area will be closed for traffic, and downtown merchants along with outside venders will set up booths and offer specials. Numerous events and activities will entertain children. 50-50 raffles, performances by local dance studios, karate demonstrations, and a beer garden have been planned. Ten singers will compete in the Pearl River Idol contest.
The event will benefit the Chamber of Commerce and it’s Pearl River Beautification Fund, which supports the revitalization of the downtown business district as well as providing funds for holiday lights and decorations. The rain date will be Sunday.
