Sue Coyle, a special education teacher in the Ramapo Central School District, wife and mother of two, died of cancer on July 24.
The Rockland County Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association’s Widows & Orphan’s Fund has organized a fundraiser to assist her husband South Nyack-Grandview police Detective Jim Coyle, who is now responsible for paying substantial medical bills and caring for his two children, Kirstin 7, and Aldan, 4.
The fundraiser event is scheduled for 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Haverstraw Elks Lodge located at 877, Elks Drive in Haverstraw.
The event will feature live bands like Joe D’Urso and Stone Caravan Band, DJs, raffles, food and drinks.
Admission to the event is $40. Donation are also being accepted.
