Grants available for women with breast cancer
Women struggling to pay costs associated with treatment for breast cancer may be eligible to receive grants throught the Community Action Program of Rockland. The Spring Valley-based group has been awarded funds from the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation. The Dutchess County organization was formed to provide funding to non-profit organizations for support services and outreach for people affected by breast cancer in the Hudson Valley.
To be eligible, recipients must be actively undergoing treatment for breast cancer and must have already exhausted all other available resources for funding. Recipients must be Rockland residents, but they do not have to be U.S. citizens. For more information, contact Vedeta Hanley at the Community Action Program of Rockland at 845-352-4167.
